The First DAAD Summer School on Current Trends in Distributed Systems (CTDS'2009) provides a unique opportunity to examine recent advances and trends such as service computing, grid computing, cloud computing, web computing etc. It brings together international experts from around the world and graduate students, young researchers and professionals.

This summer school will allow the exchange of ideas and discussions between the participants. The invited speakers come from both academia and industry, which allows the participants to better understand and assess the recent developments in distributed systems from different perspectives.

In addition to high quality training offered, the summer school provides a rich and enjoyable social and cultural program that fosters networking between the participants.
